Since the first Docs boot rolled off the production line 60 years ago, the core markings on our footwear haven't changed. But over time, our yellow welt stitch and heel loop have become a symbol of nonconformist attitude. To celebrate our 60th anniversary, we've created a new collection that pays tribute to our core DNA — by cranking it up to the max. This 1461 shoe is kitted out with not one, but two yellow stitches through the welt, and built from Smooth Slice, a raw-edged leather with yellow backing. The shoes are welted on a smoke DMS sole. Second off the DM's production line, the 1461 is a 3-eye shoe championed for its versatility Smooth Slice is the original Docs Smooth leather with added character. The base color is different to the top — showing a pop of contrasting color underneath Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700°C and reinforced with our signature welt stitch
